Parking in the city it one of my issues. Especially when it comes to things like [l:http://www.transalt.org/press/magazine/034Fall/02provocateur.html|the abuse of parking by city employees].</p>
<p>Apparently there are 110k or so city parking permits, comapre that with 61k single metered parking spots in the 5 boroughs. How about we give sity employees metro cards and take away their parking permits.</p>
<p>It time for the city to seriously look at eliminating on free on street parking, reducing the number of vehicles in the city's fleet, reducing parking permits, and [gh:node/267|conjestion pricing] Manhattan's streets.</p>
