Bush: God Told Me to Invade Iraq

File this under "Really scary"

[via Bush: God Told Me to Invade Iraq]:

former Palestinian foreign minister Nabil Shaath says Mr Bush told him and Mahmoud Abbas, former prime minister and now Palestinian President: "I'm driven with a mission from God. God would tell me, 'George, go and fight those terrorists in Afghanistan.' And I did, and then God would tell me, 'George go and end the tyranny in Iraq,' and I did."

So aparently, George misunderstood, god told him to go and fight these battles. God did not tell him "George, send your armies filled with young men and women, to go fight on your behalf, I command you." No, Mr. President, if God told you to go and fight, then you should go and...

At [lk:civicactions.com|CivicActions] we use wikis every day to track progress on projects and build an ever expanding knowledge base for our team. We will likely ramp up our internal developer blogs soon to create yet another avenue for retaining and sharing information about what we are doing and how we are doing it.

The Times is absolutely correct, if companies are going to survive and thrive, they are going to need to embrace these new technologies and the openness that they...

Identity Workshop

Identity 2.0 Gathering: Getting to the Promised Land by Kaliya Hamlin — The "identity gang" (Doc Searls, Phil Windley, Drummond Reed, and Kaliya Hamlin) has been meeting informally at tech conferences during the past year, but the time has arrived for diving deeper into the different proposed protocols (and the philosophies behind how their architects built them). Kaliya, a.k.a. Identity Woman, shares her perspective on identity and invites people to join her and the rest of the gang at the Internet Identity Workshop, October 26-27, in Berkeley, California.

If I wasn't just getting back from Amsterdam and possibly going down to New Orleans, you would be seeing me at this workshop. If you are in the bay area, and are into technoloigy, the web and privacy, it is probably a good event to hit. Kaliya is...

iPod Linux!

It is raining here in New York City. So I decided to upgrade my iPod software, completely restore the devise (removing all my music) and install [l:http://ipodlinux.org/Main_Page|iPod Linux]! I was daunted at first, only because i skipped over the part about [lk:ipodlinuxinstl.sourceforge.net|the gui installer] and tried to use some command line mojo (which if you know me, you would know was not a very good idea. GUIs are my friend). The whole operation took only a few minutes. Now i have new games, a numeric batter level indicator, and some other really neat abilities like easily recording audio (wav) using a mike plugged into the headphone...
